Final Round of the 2018 BSB Championship

The final round of the 2018 BSB Championship was held at the weekend at the Brands Hatch circuit in Kent. The 3-race conclusion to the season was full of many highs and lows, including unideal weather conditions. As the races concluded, it was Leon Haslam who claimed the British superbike title for the first time.

Racer Jake Dixon was sponsored by JT and Hiflofiltro - brands that we supply at Chains and Sprockets! He was on his Kawasaki ZX10, and in race one he settled into second place behind Glen Irwin. He briefly dropped to third place but reclaimed the second spot at the end of the race.

For the second race of the weekend on Sunday morning, the weather worsened. Jake began by taking the lead, but unfortunately on lap 14 he crashed at Clearways, but was fortunately unhurt. Leon Haslam won the second race, and Richard Cooper came 4th on his Buildbase Suzuki - he is another rider sponsored by Hiflofiltro.

In the final race of the 2018 season, Richard Cooper dominated - he set the fastest lap time and took the win by 7 seconds! Tommy Bridewell came second place, and Jake Dixon third place.

Jake Dixon & the RAF team ended the season in second place overall. JT Sprockets and Hiflofiltro have proudly supported Jake and his team throughout the 2018 Championship.

After a difficult season, James Ellison and Shaun Winfield finished in 14th and 25th places (respectively) on their Yamaha R1s - again, sponsored by JT and Hiflofiltro.

We send our congratulations to all the sponsored riders who took place in the BSB Championships.
