One of the brilliant bikers who Chains & Sprockets are sponsoring is Jayda Howe. She is from Ipswich, Suffolk and began racing at only 8 years old, when she started taking part in the BMB Championship.
On the 20th-22nd September Jayda competed at Cadwell Park.
Friday: Jayda started off the first session matching her fastest time from the previous time she was at Cadwell in May, but then had an off on her 4th lap going into the chicane. In the last session she was able to push harder and went 4 seconds faster.
Saturday: She qualified 17th out of 18. In race 1 she finished in 14th place and managed to go another 4 seconds faster. In race 2 she finished in 15th place.
Sunday: Unfortunately during the warm up, Jayda crashed on her second lap and had a trip to the medical centre. She had no time to get the bike fixed for race 1 so sadly had to miss the first race. Her bike was repaired for race 2 but on lap 4 she unfortunately crashed again.
Cadwell ended up being an experience with lows and highs. Jayda achieved her fastest ever lap of Cadwell on Saturday in race 1, but had 3 crashes.
